So, for a number of years now I have been enjoying the grace grower of living by faith. This means that pretty much for everything I need I am trusting in God to provide. There have been many stories throughout these years that I never have shared or only with a few. My hope is that over the next while I will have some time to write these down and encourage other. Today, my living by faith and Gods provision, timing and support blew me away and also left me giggling (alot). So, what better way than to share just how much God cares about the little details (or in my case the large) of life.
Let me set the background. Yesterday morning I found myself in the desperate situation of not really having a decent bra to wear and to such a bad extent I was standing trying to staple a clasp onto one so I could wear if for the day. As you know I am not one of those fortunate females who can go bra-less. I had really got to the end of all the bras I could wear and knew I was going to have to bite the bit and buy some. So this morning I set about ordering some online. Now these items for girls are not cheap but I was thankful there was a sale on so instead of one I was able to get 3 for the price of one.
However, the total sum was £40! I was like R U KIDDING Lord, £40 on bras.. really this is taking the mick, but really had no other option. So.. grumbling to the Lord I headed downstairs for breakfast where there was a proper personal letter waiting for me. Oh, that in itself was exciting. Inside was written "I was thinking about you when I was cleaning my teeth last night...and felt the Lord say send you some money!! Well there in the middle of the envelope was £40...... I could do nothing but smile and giggle to myself about how the Lord knew I needed the bras and had prompted someone to send me the money so it's timing was perfect right after I had my grumble to him about the cost - he already knew and cares about bras.
So I rang the person who sent me the money to say thank you and fill them in on the story for them to turn around at the end of the conversation and say... "Well I am glad I am able to support you..... literally!
Oh the Lord has has me laughing about this one all day... I love how living by faith goes sometimes.
